AHMADABAD: World-renowned pop star Ricky Martin will perform his vocal magic at the closing ceremony ahead of the big clash between India and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.
Preparations are in full swing for the final of the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup 2026. Music and sports will be seen converging to make this the biggest night of cricket even more memorable. Ricky Martin, known as the ‘King of Latin Pop’, will be performing in India for the first time since 1998.
Ricky Martin came to the fore in the late 1990s and has been nominated for 7 Grammy Awards thanks to his unique music. On the other hand, the Indian team reached the final after a thrilling 7-run victory in the second semi-final against England.
Team India will be looking to bury the bitter memories of the 2023 ODI World Cup final at the same venue where they were defeated by Australia. This time, India has a golden opportunity to become the first team to defend the title on home soil.
