A tragic incident of firing has taken place in the Income Support Program office located on Mallar Jhangira Road in Swabi, resulting in the death of a woman.
According to rescue sources, the firing incident took place inside the office in which a woman on duty was targeted and died on the spot. Panic spread in the area after the incident. Rescue officials have shifted the body of the deceased woman to DHQ Hospital for post-mortem.
According to the police, the police reached the spot as soon as they received the information and cordoned off the area and evidence is being collected. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
It is not the first incident of mismanagement in Benazir Income Support Program office as earlier to this tragic incident occurred in Shangla and Rahmim Yar Khan, where six women were killed and six injured.
