Expressing concern over the unavailability of basic facilities at the Benazir Income Support Program’s central office in Lower and Upper South Waziristan, Wana Chairman’s Alliance President Ahmed Wazir has said that women visiting the center are facing severe difficulties.

‎He said that there is no proper seating arrangement for women in the office, while basic facilities like bathrooms have not been provided, due to which women coming from remote areas have to face severe problems.

‎He said that Lower and Upper South Waziristan is a vast area with a population of about nine lakh, yet the lack of basic facilities at the central center is extremely regrettable and tantamount to injustice to the local people.

‎Ahmed Wazir demanded that Benazir Income Support Program Chairperson Rubina Khalid, Provincial Chairperson Zahra Aslam, Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Lower Musarrat Zaman, MPA Ajab Gul Wazir and MNA Zubair Khan Wazir take immediate notice of this issue and provide proper waiting area, seating and other basic facilities for women in the center so that women of the area can get services with dignity and convenience.

‎He further said that if the concerned authorities resolve this issue on priority basis, it will prove to be an important and positive step for the people of South Waziristan.
