MANSEHRA: The season’s first snowfall has blanketed the tourist regions of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and Mansehra, covering the valleys in white and ushering in a sharp drop in temperatures.
In Gilgit-Baltistan, snowfall began at around 4,500 meters near Gilgit and spread to Khunjerab, Babusar, and Barzul Top, turning the high peaks into a snow-covered landscape. The spell was accompanied by gusty winds and light rain, intensifying the cold. Authorities have begun arranging measures to protect locals and tourists from the freezing weather.
In Mansehra, light snowfall at Babusar Top, Besar, and Noori Top has enhanced the scenic beauty of the region. The wintry spell has drawn large numbers of tourists to these popular destinations.
