ISLAMABAD: The Federal government declared winter holidays for educational institutions, which are part of the Federal Directorate of Education.
The formal announcement has been made by the Federal Education Department confirming that the federally supported schools will observe winter holidays from December 26 through January 3.
Since January 4 is a Sunday, school will resume on January 5, and regular teaching activities will be carried out thereafter.
Winter vacations announced for educational institutions in KP
On Thursday, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced the closure of schools during the winter for all educational institutions in the province.
The Secretary of Education stated that the educational institutions located in the summer zone of the province will get winter vacations from the 1st of January to the 15th of January.
In contrast, the schools in the winter zone will observe winter break from the 22nd of December to the end of February.
This announcement applies to all types of educational institutions, both public and private, within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa zones as per the seasons.
