MUZAFARABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, during a special session of the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly, delivered a strong message to India, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to protecting Kashmir. He stated that Pakistan will take all necessary measures to safeguard this vital region. The Prime Minister emphasised that any aggressive language used by India will be met with an appropriate response.

In his speech, he pointed out that India has faced a significant defeat in the battle for truth and is now resorting to spreading terrorism through various groups to cover up its shame. He stressed that as long as India continues its malicious conspiracies, the dream of peace in the region remains unattainable.

Discussing the situations in Kashmir and Palestine, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to its principled stance. He asserted that the resolution of the Kashmir issue lies within the framework of United Nations resolutions, and India has no choice but to grant Kashmiris their rights and freedom.

He vowed that Pakistan will persist in exposing India’s false narrative on both military and diplomatic fronts. Although Pakistan aspires for peace, it asserted that such peace can only be achieved through equality and justice.

In his address, the Prime Minister announced relief measures for Kashmiris, increasing the monthly stipend for refugees from Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000, and directed the disbursement of special endowment funds for talented students in Azad Kashmir. He expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Barrister Sultan Mahmood and emphasised that the entire Pakistani nation stands firmly with its Kashmiri brothers. He concluded by stating that the struggle for truth has revitalised the Kashmir cause, a movement no force can suppress.
