ABBOTTABAD: The Wildlife Abbottabad Department successfully captured a wild leopard in the Namlai Mera area of Galiyat, days after it reportedly attacked schoolchildren in the village.

According to the details Locals said the children narrowly escaped harm after residents rushed to their aid following their cries for help.

Residents had repeatedly complained to the wildlife department about the animal’s presence, citing multiple incidents in which the leopard had entered the area and caused damage to livestock and property.

Wildlife officials confirmed the capture and said the animal would be relocated following standard departmental procedures to ensure the safety of the community.

Authorities have also urged residents to remain vigilant and report any sightings of wild animals.
