CALIFORNIA: Meta has decided to add a new feature to WhatsApp, which is already very much liked by Facebook, and it is going to add an extra visual aspect to the user profiles by allowing them to have profile cover photos.
As per the announcement of Meta, the feature is presently accessible in the beta version of WhatsApp for iOS. Now with this new feature, users will be able to upload a cover photo in addition to their profile picture making their profiles more attractive and having more depth.
Profile picture space will be one place where users can add the cover photo, which would allow the uploading of an image of a similar size to that of Facebook profile banners. The feature that was available only to business accounts is now open to personal users too.
For the cover photo, users will just have to click on the part of the picture above their profile that they want to change, then choose a photo, and they will be able to replace it whenever they want. The cover photo will be visible to all who view the profile; hence, it will be a new method for the user to make their WhatsApp presence more personal and appealing.
An expert group sees this feature update as a way to make WhatsApp profiles more interesting and personalized while giving users an additional tool for self-expression.
The current one is a new addition to the already existing features of WhatsApp that have rolled out member tagging, texting stickers, and event reminders in recent times for all users.
