What is the Import-export ratio between Pakistan and Afghanistan in 2025?

Imports from Afghanistan increased by 16 per cent on an annual basis in August 2025, while Pakistan’s imports from Afghanistan increased by 8 per cent in July and August 2025.

According to sources in the Ministry of Commerce, imports from Afghanistan increased by 50 per cent every month in August. Sources in the Ministry of Commerce say that Pakistan’s imports from Afghanistan last month, August, were $55 million, while Pakistan’s imports from Afghanistan in July 2025 were $37 million.

Pakistan’s imports from Afghanistan in August 2024 were $47 million, while imports from Afghanistan in the first two months of the current fiscal year were $91 million. According to sources in the Ministry of Commerce, Pakistani exports to Afghanistan declined on an annual and monthly basis in August 2025. Last month, Pakistani exports to Afghanistan declined by 13 per cent every month, while exports to Afghanistan declined by one per cent on an annual basis.

Similarly, Pakistani exports to Afghanistan in August 2025 were $88 million, while Pakistani exports to Afghanistan in the first two months of the fiscal year were $190 million.
