The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted that the weather will remain dry in most parts of the country on March 31; however, a strong westerly wave will enter Pakistan via Balochistan in the evening or night.

Under the influence of this weather system, widespread rains, strong winds, and thunderstorms have been predicted across the country from April 1 to April 4. On April 1, thunderstorms and hailstorms are likely in various cities of Punjab, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Multan, while heavy rain is expected in DG Khan and its surroundings. Rains and snowfall in mountainous areas are also expected in the districts of Peshawar, Swat, Chitral, and Kohat of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In Balochistan, a heavy rain alert has been issued in several districts, including Quetta, Gwadar, Turbat, and Khuzdar, which has raised the possibility of flooding in local rivers. Regarding Sindh, it has been reported that rain and hail may occur in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Larkana between April 2 and April 4.

The Meteorological Department has warned that strong winds and hail can damage standing crops, electricity poles, and weak structures, so farmers have been instructed to take precautionary measures, and tourists have been instructed to avoid unnecessary travel. Overall, this system will significantly reduce temperatures across the country.
