The recent wave of Indian-backed terrorism on Pak-Afghan border cliamed lives of 130 in 2026 while score of others got injured.
According to recent reports received from security sources, the Pakistan Army has launched a decisive counter-offensive against the Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Kharij in the South Waziristan sector, which has been named ‘Operation Ghadhb al-Lil-Haqq’.
All the posts of the Afghan Taliban from Shawal to Zarmalan in the South Waziristan sector on the Pak-Afghan border have been effectively targeted and destroyed, forcing the enemy to retreat.
Looking at the humanitarian aspects of this tension, the figures for the year 2026 so far are extremely worrying. 8 innocent Pakistani civilians have been martyred as a result of the recent mortar and artillery fire by the Afghan Taliban, while the total number of civilians killed by Indian-backed proxy terrorism has so far reached 130. This works out to an average of 52 martyrdoms per month, which is a significant increase compared to the average of 2025 (33 martyrdoms per month).
According to the report, the main target of this cross-border terrorism is innocent Pakistani families, to counter which the operations of the Pakistani armed forces are continuing with full force.
Security officials estimate that due to these effective operations against the nexus of Fitna al-Kharij and Fitna Hindustan, this average of martyrdoms will soon decrease significantly. Regarding ‘Operation Ghadbhun Li’l-Haqq’, it has been reiterated that these operations will continue until all their set goals are fully achieved and the country’s borders are fully secured.
