WANA: At least two civilians have lost their lives, and more than 20 others have been injured in an explosion carried out by the group Fitna al-Khawarij in Rustam Bazaar, Wana, according to sources.

This attack, following a previous incident in Miran Shah, marks the second assault by Fitna al-Khawarij targeting the civilian population. Most of those injured in the Wana blast were ordinary passersby, the sources added.

Security forces quickly arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area, and initiated a search operation. The condition of several injured individuals is reported to be critical.

It is worth noting that just yesterday, a vehicle loaded with explosives was detonated among the general public in Miran Shah, injuring several civilians, including children.

Since being defeated in their own country, the Afghan Taliban have resorted to using Fitna al-Khawarij to instill fear and panic among the tribal population.

Additionally, the Afghan Taliban are reportedly being forced to retreat due to effective operations by security forces against Afghan forces along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

The Frontier Corps (FC) North successfully thwarted an attempted fence-cutting operation by the Tehrik-i-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA) in the Khara Sector. In response to increasing infiltrations and attempts to breach the security barrier, FC North set up an ambush to deter future attacks.

The operation was led by WC 144 Wing and was executed after intelligence reports indicated that TTA insurgents were planning to cut through the fence at Mukha Post. At approximately 16:30 on March 7, 3 to 4 TTA militants approached the fence and attempted to breach it.
