KARACHI: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) governor, Faisal Karim Kundi’s media advisor’s car was reportedly snatched at gunpoint in Karachi FB area, police said on Monday.

According to the police, the vehicle of Ali Ayub, media advisor to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, was reportedly snatched at gunpoint in Karachi.

The incident occurred on October 22 in the Tahir Vela Chowrangi area of FB Area, in the capital of Sindh, Karachi.

According to Sindh police, the vehicle was taken by unidentified assailants, prompting the immediate registration of a car-snatching incident at Gulberg Police Station.

According to law enforcement authorities, the case is being treated as a high-priority case due to the status of the vehicle’s owner. Police teams have been deployed to trace the vehicle and identify the culprits.

Police said that Ali Ayub was travelling in his car when the assailants intercepted him. While no physical harm was reported to the media advisor, the incident has raised concerns over the increasing car llifting incidents in Karachi. Residents of the FB Area expressed alarm over the rise in such crimes and urged the authorities to ensure better security measures.
