LAHORE: Responding sarcastically to the anarchy seen at a recent PTI event in Peshawar, Punjab’s Information Minister for Punjab, Uzma Bukhari, issued scathing criticism. where party volunteers were spotted chanting slogans against Ali Amin Gandapur and even hurling bottles in protest.

Bukhari made fun of the internal strife inside PTI by going to social media site X (once Twitter) and stating:

“It must be fun sampling your own medicine of misbehavior.”

Referring to the evident turmoil and demonstrations inside the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government’s event, she quipped:

“Oh dear, what am I hearing? They’ve begun squarling over scraps like lentils in a shoe!”

Reaction to the crowd yelling slogans against Gandapur, the seated KP Chief Minister and senior PTI leader, she also shared laughing emojis.

In another sarcastic comment, Bukhari underlined the low attendance and lack of enthusiasm at the occasion despite great mobilizing efforts:

“The rally’s attendance is dismal even if the complete provincial government and efforts to draw people from across Pakistan were made.”

Concluding her remarks with a dig at PTI’s inflated crowd estimates, she wrote:

“I’m not saying anything; count for yourself; maybe 1.5 to 2 million people are there!”
