MANSEHRA: A high-value ultrasound machine was stolen from the Radiology Department of the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Mansehra, the thief broke the department’s lock of King Abdullah Hospital.
According to a spokesperson for King Abdullah Hospital, the stolen machine is valued at approximately Rs 400,000.
Police said that, with the help of CCTV footage, a person seen taking the machine on a motorbike and the hospital’s sweeper have been taken into custody on charges of facilitation. Images of the main suspect have been circulated to all police stations.
Authorities also announced a reward for anyone providing information leading to the recovery of the machine.
Investigations are ongoing, including inquiries into the hospital’s security staff who were on duty at the time of the theft.
