The Consul General of the United Arab Emirates, Bakheet Ateeq Al-Remeithi has dismissed reports of a suspension of visas for Pakistani nationals, stating that the claims have no basis.
Following widespread speculation on social media about a supposed visa ban on Pakistani nationals, the United Arab Emirates Consul General, Bakhit Atiq Al-Rumaithi, has firmly denied these claims, stating that the reports are completely baseless.
The Consul General emphasized that relations between Pakistan and the UAE remain strong and are based on mutual cooperation. He added that no restrictions have been imposed on visa issuance for Pakistani citizens. Visa processing for Pakistanis continues as usual, and there has been no suspension of any kind, he clarified.
Al-Rumaithi pointed out that certain individuals are spreading misinformation about UAE visas, causing unnecessary confusion. He reiterated that the UAE is committed to facilitating Pakistani travelers and applicants across various categories.
He noted that the UAE’s largest visa center in Asia, located in Karachi, continues to operate efficiently, with staff actively assisting Pakistani applicants daily. The Consul General also highlighted that cooperation for medical treatment, educational seminars, and other service-related purposes remains fully intact.
However, he mentioned that some categories of visas require prior appointments, which he described as a standard procedure rather than a restriction. He stressed that the Karachi visa center continues to serve Pakistani men and women, with staff available for all routine facilitation.
