PESHAWAR: A clash between two student groups at the University of Agriculture, Peshawar, has sparked major unrest on campus.
According to sources, the confrontation occurred between the “Insaf Student Forum” and the “Muslim Student Federation,” during which gunfire was reportedly exchanged.
The rival student organisations came face to face, prompting the university administration to call in the police to control the situation immediately. The firing caused panic among students, and the atmosphere across the campus quickly became extremely tense.
Angry students reportedly opened fire in different areas of the university, creating widespread fear among students and staff. The administration and police reached the scene and are working to bring the situation under control. So far, no confirmed reports of injuries or casualties have been received.
University authorities have urged students to remain calm and cooperate, and an immediate investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the clash. According to police officials, normal academic activities will resume once the situation is fully under control.
