ABBOTTABAD: Two persons were killed and five others slightly injured when a Suzuki Shahzor vehicle was swept away in floodwater in the Nagri area of Abbottabad on Friday morning.

Local sources said that there were seven people on board in the vehicle when the rising floodwater due to heavy rain swept the vehicle along with all seven on board in the jurisdiction of ​​Lora police station.

Five people people managed to jump out of the vehicle, while two other persons still in the vehicle were swept away in the flooded water.

Soon after the incident large number of local people rushed to the area and started a search operation for the missing bodies. The incident also resulted badly damage to the vehicle and slight injuries to five persons belong to the same area.

The injured were provided emergency medical treatment, and later they were discharged from the hospital.

It may be recalled here that last night, heavy rain lashed parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in flooding in various rivers of the province.
