ISLAMABAD: The two foreign airlines Salam Air and Flynas have resumed their flight operations to Pakistan, which now enables better travel options between Pakistan and other countries.

Sources report that Salam Air flight OV 507, which carried passengers from Muscat arrived at Sialkot Airport and then the return flight to Muscat departed from Sialkot Airport shortly after.

Salam Air has restarted its flight services to Pakistan through its Arabian Sea route. The airline has suspended all flights to Iran Iraq, the UAE and Kuwait until further notice.

Flynas has restored its flight operations which connect Muscat with Karachi. The first flight from Muscat to Karachi will arrive at Jinnah International Airport at 4 AM according to its schedule.

Sources report that Flynas flight 315 departed from Riyadh and entered Pakistani airspace through the Arabian Sea route.

The two airlines that have resumed their operations will help connect major cities in Pakistan while offering better travel options to passengers, according to officials.

Hajj 2026: Pakistan’s first Hajj flight to depart on April 19

Earlier, authorities announced that Pakistan’s first Hajj flight for 2026 will depart on April 19. This year’s Hajj will see more than 180,000 pilgrims traveling to Makkah, including those who missed last year’s pilgrimage.

Under the government scheme, pilgrims will receive immigration facilities at Islamabad Airport through the “Road to Makkah” project. The second phase of Hajj training for pilgrims will begin after Eid, aiming to prepare participants for the pilgrimage rituals.

Reports indicate that private travel agents have demanded additional fees from some pilgrims who had missed Hajj last year. The airlines have announced that Umrah airfares have increased since the beginning of Ramzan.

Pilgrims need to follow government guidelines while officials continue to recommend that they complete their registration process before their journey begins for a successful travel experience.
