WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump announced that Iran talks are continuing because he wants to reach an agreement with the country. Trump explained to the press at the White House that the Iran deal negotiations will result in serious consequences if both sides fail to reach an agreement.
The President announced that U.S. forces maintain a military presence in the area which includes a naval fleet that exceeds the size of the Venezuelan fleet.
President Trump was hopeful about concluding with Iran, but he said that a conclusion must be reached to avoid dangerous consequences from happening.
The President of the United States of America has announced that Steve Vitkoff will meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Friday to begin formal diplomatic talks between the two countries.
Trump reported that the Russia-Ukraine conflict has reached its current stage, while he predicted that upcoming news will deliver favourable results about the situation.
Trump used the same press conference to refute all the Epstein scandal allegations against him. He also declared his intention to create a U.S. industrial strategic mineral reserve that will protect vital mineral resources.
Trump clarifies no plans to replace UN with Gaza peace board
US President Donald Trump has confirmed that there are no plans to replace the United Nations with the Gaza Peace Board and stated the UN must continue its involvement in global diplomacy.
Trump, while speaking at a press conference marking his first anniversary, said that the establishment of the NATO military alliance was one of the major achievements of his leadership, adding that no one has contributed to NATO as he did. He also hinted at a resolution regarding Greenland that would be advantageous for both NATO and the U.S.
In relation to his foreign policy, Trump spoke positively of his relationships with the UK and French leaders, pointing out that there is good cooperation among the ruling powers. Nevertheless, he declared not to participate in the forthcoming G7 meeting in Paris.
Trump was open about his disinterest in meeting former Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro in prison. In addition, he informed that the US had already procured 50 million barrels of oil from Venezuela.
Trump, in response to questions about the situation between Pakistan and India, declared that the number of aircraft downed in the skirmish was eight and also said that the Indian Premier had told him that his engagement was the reason for saving so many lives. He further stated that if the armed conflict had not been stopped, the number of casualties would have been in the millions with possible figures ranging from 10 to 20 million.
Trump ended his speech by claiming credit for averting eight wars, asserting the genuineness of his efforts not being for the Nobel Peace Prize, and reaffirming that he is still trying to put an end to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
