WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump again brought up the severity of the India-Pakistan conflict and, astonishingly, the loss of seven Indian jet fighters during the recent fight.
During the Oval Office media interaction, in Trump’s view, he had cut short eight wars, and India, and Pakistan could have been one nuclear catastrophe.
Trump claimed that the shooting down of seven jets was a turning point in the escalation and that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had personally thanked him for saving millions of lives by not allowing a full-scale war to break out.
Trump:
Prime Minister of Pakistan said so beautifully — you saved millions of lives.
I think he’s referring to the fact that that would have been with India, nuclear war that was getting very close.

The U.S. President’s statement was interpreted as a reference to the possible nuclear confrontation that was very close to breaking out between the two countries possessing nuclear weapons.
To add more over India-Pakistan discord, Trump has brought in the oil trade issue between India and Russia. He disclosed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had reassured him not to worry about India buying oil from Russia, a position that Trump earlier expressed dissatisfaction with.
Moreover, Trump said there would not be a necessity for the military intervention of the United States to disarm Hamas, and he reiterated his desire to have Hamas neutralized. The ex-president tapped on the ongoing initiatives for the trade war cessation with China and the solution discovery for the Ukraine conflict as well.
