Pakistani trucks stuck during the attack started entering Pakistan after successful negotiations held between the Pak-Afghan Chambers of Commerce in Spin Boldak area.
After the joint efforts of Chaman Chambers of Commerce, Pak-Afghan Joint Chambers, and Kandahar Chambers of Commerce, the Pak-Afghan border was opened for empty freight trucks stuck in Spin Boldak.
According to officials, hundreds of empty containers and trucks were allowed to return from Gate 4 instead of Bab Dosti. In this regard, Chaman Chambers of Commerce officials say that about 2,000 Pakistani drivers and support staff were stuck in Spin Boldak. Trade at Bab Dosti in Chaman has been closed for nine days due to Pak-Afghan tensions. On the other hand, preparations are also underway to permanently restore the trade corridor at Torkham border.
According to customs sources, a scanner has been delivered to the Torkham Terminal for the clearance of cargo vehicles, and the staff has also been instructed to reach the Torkham Terminal immediately.
