According to the local police, a gunfight broke out between two rival groups in the Mela Mandara Khel area, within the limits of the Lakki City police station. Including a passerby, two people were killed in the shooting, while three others sustained injuries.
Police said that the deceased included a passerby named Sufyan and Mishal Khan from the opposing party. The injured included Shadirullah, Yousuf and Hussain, including an 8-year-old child.
Rescue teams have immediately shifted the dead and injured to Government City Hospital, Lakki Marwat, where the injured are being provided medical assistance.
Police have reached the spot and cordoned off the area, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
