CHARSADDA: Two female teachers were killed when they were attacked by unknown assailants in the Parang area of district Charsadda here on Thursday.

According to the police, two female teachers were on their way to the government high school Shahpasand when they came under attack. As a result, a woman teacher died instantly, and her colleague was critically injured.

Police said the dead body and the injured school teachers were moved to the hospital, and a police party was dispatched to the crime scene to gather information.

Later, police also confirmed to this reporter that the injured teacher, Nadia Begum, also succumbed to her injuries at Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar.

The police identified the deceased as Sadarat and Nadia Begum, who were school teachers and were going to their school for their duty when motorcyclist suspects opened fire at them.

Police said they have launched a search to apprehend the suspects and lodged an FIR under Section 302 of the PPC.
