ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police on Monday issued a traffic advisory for the twin cities movement as the Tri-Nation Cricket Series commences from Tuesday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

According to a statment issued by the Islamabad police, the Tri-Nations series will continue at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium until November 29. During this time, the movement of cricket teams will be from Islamabad to Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
It said that more than 300 officers of Islamabad Traffic Police will be deployed during the cricket matches. Traffic flow on the Express Highway and Srinagar Highway will be affected during rush hours during the team’s movement.

The statement also urged the citizens to leave with an additional time of 15 to 20 minutes for travel on Islamabad roads.

It said that Islamabad Traffic Police will make every effort to ensure that citizens do not face any difficulty. Citizens will also be provided with traffic awareness on the social media pages of Islamabad Police, FM 92.4. Citizens are requested to cooperate with the traffic police and show patience during this time. For any emergency, they can contact Pukaar 15 and Traffic Helpline 1915.
