ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan automotive sector is entering its most substantial changes at the beginning of 2026. The entry-level vehicle market has seen rising demand because budget-conscious customers have stopped buying the Suzuki Wagon R and Carry Dabba (Bolaan) models, which are no longer available.

The Suzuki Alto maintains its position as Pakistan’s most popular vehicle despite economic conditions that have increased both inflation rates and automobile pricing. The Alto represents a secure investment because its 660cc engine delivers superior fuel efficiency and maintains strong resale value. The Suzuki Alto offers a price range of approximately PKR 2.33 million to PKR 3.05 million in 2026 which makes it popular among middle-class consumers.

The Suzuki Every has become the primary replacement for the Bolaan taxi service. Every vehicle has gained popularity among families and businesses because its latest EFI engine provides improved suspension and effective air conditioning and additional safety features. Every vehicle has established itself as a superior option within its market segment because its spacious interior space provides a superior driving experience and its market price runs from PKR 2.75 million to PKR 2.8 million.

Daihatsu Mira and Nissan Datsun are among the Japanese imported vehicles that currently attract customer interest in the market. The Daihatsu Mira is preferred because it consumes less fuel while providing a smooth ride with advanced contemporary technologies, despite its spare parts being costly. The Nissan Datsun functions as a high-end vehicle within the 660cc segment because it features a 660cc engine but its expensive price and upkeep expenses make it unfeasible for budget-restricted customers.

The Suzuki Cultus has maintained its status as a popular 1000cc hatchback which now costs over PKR 4 million in 2026 thus eliminating its status as an affordable vehicle.

The used car market currently offers the Suzuki Wagon R and Toyota Vitz as suitable options because they provide drivers with larger vehicles that come with advanced features and affordable pricing.

Experts recommend the Suzuki Alto as the best choice for safe investment and low running costs, the Suzuki Every for larger families and commercial use, and Japanese imports for those looking for comfort, advanced technology, and driving pleasure.
