BARA: The first snowfall of the year blanketed the beautiful Tirah valley of Khyber District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to reports, the snowfall occurred within the Ajgal Kokikhel range of mountains, whitening the valley into a beautiful landscape.
The temperatures have decreased significantly with the onset of snow, and individuals have turned to the wearing of warm clothing with rising cold.
The first snow signals the start of the winter season in the area, known for its rolling landscape and beauty. The early snowfall marks the beginning of the winter season in the region, renowned for its rolling terrain and natural beauty.
It is worth mentioning that various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) received a fresh spell of snowfall and rain, bringing much-needed relief after a prolonged period of heat.
According to local reports, snowfall was observed in the mountainous areas of Jehaz Banda in Upper Dir, as well as in Shangla, Swat, Chitral, and Naran Mansehra, contributing to a significant drop in temperature.
Rainfall also affected several areas within the Malakand division, including Swat, Shangla, Buner, Chitral, Bajaur, Dir Lower, Dir Upper, and Malakand. Additionally, the Hazara division saw rain in the districts of Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram, and Kohistan.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a weather advisory for the federal capital, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Sindh, and Gilgit-Baltistan, warning of possible adverse weather conditions over the next 12 to 24 hours.
According to NDMA officials, intermittent rainfall is expected during this period, with light to heavy showers likely in the upper catchments of the Jhelum, Ravi, and Sutlej rivers.

Rain is also forecast in several key districts, including Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mianwali, Hafizabad, Sargodha, and Khushab in Punjab; and Chitral, Dir, Haripur, Kohat, Kohistan, Khyber, Kurram, Mansehra, Mohmand, Nowshera, Malakand, Charsadda, Abbottabad, Bannu, and Buner in KP.
