ISLAMABAD: TikTok has introduced three new features for its users in Pakistan only. These features aim to improve the safety of the users, increase the engagement of the users and give more control to the creators over their content.
The company stated that the newly introduced tools would make it possible for Pakistani artists to interact with their audience in a safer way and also have a pleasant experience on the platform.
One major feature addition is the “Creator Care Mode” through which a user is allowed to have more control over the comments on their page. On turning the mode on, the feature will automatically hide those comments that are offensive, harassing, or inappropriate. Moreover, it also masks the comments of users whose past remarks have been reported, disliked, or deleted. According to TikTok, the feature employs artificial intelligence (AI) for the identification and handling of such comments in the same time frame as they are posted.
The next feature namely “Content Check Lite” is a web version-only feature which is available in the TikTok Studio. In this tool, creators can check if their uploaded videos are going to be subjected to any visibility restrictions beforehand. With the support of this instrument, users can verify if their work is eligible to be broadcasted on the “For You” feed. In such a way, they are given the opportunity to spot potential problems prior to video posting and can, therefore, adjust their content to be in line with TikTok’s Community Guidelines and reach more people.
Besides that, TikTok has launched a “Creator Inbox”, a new location for messages that a creator gets from followers, which provides an organized way of communication with them. Along with the quick-reply templates, the inbox also offers different folders for the messages you have starred, and sections for those unread, thus simplifying the efficiency of creator-follower interaction.

According to the company, the introduction of these new features is aimed at enhancing the user experience, and promoting a positive and safe online community in Pakistan.
