LAHORE: Pakistan cricket team achieved a historic victory by whitewashing Australia in the T20 series. They clinched the third and final match by a staggering 111 runs, completely dominating their opponent throughout the series.
Batting first, Pakistan scored 207 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Saim Ayub’s impressive innings drew significant attention as he scored 56 runs with an aggressive style. Captain Babar Azam also contributed importantly with a solid innings of 50 runs, helping the team reach a strong total.
In pursuit of the target of 208 runs, the Australian team faltered completely, getting bowled out for just 96 runs. Pakistan’s exceptional bowling performance left the Australian batsmen with no options. All-rounder Muhammad Nawaz delivered the best bowling performance of his career, taking 5 wickets for only 18 runs, which played a crucial role in dismantling the Australian team.
Additionally, in the Under-19 World Cup Super Six stage, India set Pakistan a target of 253 runs to win.
