KHYBER: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa conducted a major operation in the Khyber district, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists associated with the Khawarij group.
This operation was based on intelligence indicating that Fazl Noor, the local commander of ISIS Khorasan (ISKP), along with his associates, was planning a significant terrorist attack in the Ali Masjid area of Lala China Dosar.
Upon arrival at the location, the CTD team encountered immediate gunfire from the terrorists. The officers responded promptly, leading to an exchange of fire that lasted approximately 30 minutes. Once the shooting ceased and the area was secured, three terrorists were found dead at the scene.
The deceased terrorists were identified as Muhammad Naeem, alias Abdul Nasir, and Muhammad Karim, both from Karak, and Noor Nabi, a resident of Nangarhar, Afghanistan. According to the CTD, Muhammad Naeem and Muhammad Karim were also the masterminds behind the recent suicide blast in Chamkani.
