DI KHAN: At least five attackers were killed in a suicide bombing at a police training centre in Dera Ismail Khan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Friday night.

According to the district police officer, Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzad, 7-8 terrorists attacked the police training centre in Dera Ismail Khan with heavy weapons. Heavy exchange of fire between the police and the terrorists is ongoing.

He said that initial reports suggest that a suicide bomber blew himself up near the training centre, while five terrorists were killed in the police retaliatory action.

After the explosion, heavy firing started again in the area. Additional police personnel have been sent from Ijaz Shaheed Police Lines to control the situation.

DPO said that he himself supervised the operation and would eliminate the terrorists who attacked the police training centre.
