Three people were injured when a mortar shell fired from across the border landed inside Pakistani territory in Mohmand tribal district on Thursday evening.
The incident occurred when the exchange of fire caused fall of mortar shell on a house in the border region of Mohmand district. The injured were immediately shifted to Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar where their condition was stated serious.
Security officials say that the Afghan Taliban have attacked our forces and have come to “our pitch” and now, be it the buffer zone in the border region and the exchange of fire is now a routine matter whenever Taliban infiltrate the area.
Pakistan has recently launched cross border operation to counter the repeated attacks of militants and terrorist elements who some time targets Pakistan security forces and common people inside the country.
