ISLAMABAD: Senior journalist Hassan Ayub stated that there is no truth to the speculations regarding the government’s six-month grace period or the “Wonder Boy” narrative circulating in the market.
In a recent podcast, Ayub emphasized that the government and the military are aligned, and the clear coordination between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and CDF, Field Marshal General Asim Munir, serves as evidence of Pakistan’s success on the global stage.
He mentioned that the stories surrounding the “Wonder Boy” and the grace periods may stem from the desires of certain individuals, but they lack any real basis.
Ayub highlighted that both the government and the establishment have set a target of $60 billion in foreign reserves annually. He noted that achieving this target would boost investor and business community confidence.
Furthermore, he pointed out that the current political and military leadership has received praise from various world leaders, including former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Ayub concluded by stating that Pakistan has emerged as a significant player in the current global landscape, which has caused concern among those who do not wish to see the country succeed.
