PESHAWAR: 502 individuals, including security personnel, have been martyred in terrorist incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year 2025, so far. A police report has been released detailing the loss of lives due to these attacks.
According to the report, there were 1,588 terrorist incidents in the province, resulting in the deaths of 223 civilians and injuries to 570 others. Additionally, 137 police personnel were martyred, and 236 were injured in these incidents. The report also mentions that 18 law enforcement officials and 124 Federal Constabulary personnel were killed, with 244 injured.
In operations throughout the year, 348 terrorists were killed. The Bannu region recorded the highest number of terrorism cases, with 394 incidents. In Bannu, the toll included 41 police personnel who were martyred and 89 who were injured, as well as 54 civilians who lost their lives and 125 who were injured.
In Dera Ismail Khan, there were 152 registered cases, leading to the deaths of 137 terrorists. North Waziristan saw 181 cases of terrorism, resulting in 38 civilian fatalities and 182 injuries. Finally, South Waziristan recorded 103 cases, with 39 civilians martyred and 86 injured.
