PESHAWAR: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu Sajjad Khan has confirmed that three terrorists were killed and four others injured as Police thwarted coordinated terror attacks in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.
In his conversation with a local media outlet, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu Sajjad Khan declared that an adequately well-armed group of terrorists attacked the Meryan Police Station in Bannu.
RPO Sajjad Khan also stated that a number of militants launched a second and bloodier attack on the Mazang checkpoint in the district of Bannu, stating that the heavy firing continued for an hour.
Sajjad Khan also stated that three terrorists were killed and four were wounded in intense firing. The rest of the attackers fled the area, leaving their wounded friends behind. Three police officials were also lightly wounded during the attack.

Similarly, the Police also thwarted the terrorists’ attack in the Karak district when they attacked the Gurguri Police Station in the district. The police officials, however, presented stiff resistance to the attackers, and the militants had to retreat.
