SWABI: Former Provincial Minister for Primary Education Faisal Tarkai reaffirmed his unflinching allegiance to PTI founder Imran Khan, stating that he is firmly behind Khan’s ideology “like a rock.”
Addressing party workers at Tarkai House in Swabi, Faisal Tarkai said that he holds his honor and dignity above any ministerial post and never compromised on raising his voice for the people with this resolve.
He disclosed that while serving as a minister for one-and-a-half years, he did not provide a single job to his associates, despite spending months in prison and receiving infinite requests.
If I had power, I would have quit the cabinet one year ago,” he said, “but I stayed so no one could say I didn’t try for the people.
Talking about the unemployment opportunities in Swabi during his time, Tarkai said, “I couldn’t offer even a single Class IV job in 18 months. Aaqib Khan couldn’t provide one either. Then why were we in jail? Why did we run from pillar to post?”
He urged the public to come out for the freedom of Imran Khan and his sisters, saying, “We’ve raised our voices for people’s rights based on our upbringing, and all our reforms and efforts have been shared transparently on Facebook.”
Highlighting his honesty, Faisal Tarkai said, “I am not corrupt or a thief. I do not allow interference with my work.” He further said that he was educated abroad but decided to live and serve in his country.
“We were with the Chief Minister at Kati Pahari on Imran Khan’s call, and we are still prepared to react whenever he calls again,” he added.
