Despite the tall claims of Maryam of Nawaz regarding health reforms in Punjab, a Male dentist performs gynaecological surgery in a private hospital in Dera Ghazi Khan, resulting in the tragic death of the patient.
The inexperienced dentist himself fainted after seeing the patient’s blood, which was taken to the cabin by the deceased’s relatives. It was a serious incident of negligence by the private hospital administration that occurred in Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab, in which a dentist, instead of a lady surgeon, operated on a pregnant woman, and the patient died.
According to media reports, a dentist, instead of a lady surgeon, performed a gynaecological surgery in a private hospital in Dera Ghazi Khan, in which the patient died due to complications.
The heirs of the deceased woman say that the inexperienced doctor who operated also fainted due to excessive bleeding during the operation. We took the unconscious doctor to the cabin.
According to the heirs, we kept calling the lady doctor, but she did not arrive as the patient’s condition became critical. After the family protested, teams from the Healthcare Commission and the District Health Authority reached the private hospital, to which the hospital administration refused to provide the records and allegedly also changed the CCTV camera device.
The District Health Officer immediately sealed the hospital for non-cooperation and started further investigation and assured the heirs of justice. The DHO said that teams have been formed to investigate the incident.
Serious questions arise regarding the health system of Punjab, where, due to the absence of Gynacologist a dentist performs surgery.
On the other hand, Federal Minister of State and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Huzaifa Rehman, took strict notice of the death of a woman during childbirth in a private hospital in Dera Ghazi Khan and sought a report.
