‎In the 38th match of the T20 World Cup, Zimbabwe defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets after a thrilling contest.

‎In this match played in Colombo, Zimbabwe achieved the target of 179 runs set by Sri Lanka for the loss of 4 wickets in the last over.

‎Captain Sikandar Raza played an aggressive innings of 45 runs off 26 balls, which included two fours and four sixes. Opener Brian Bennett was not out on 63 runs. Ryan Bury scored 23 and Murumani returned to the pavilion after scoring 34 runs.

‎For Sri Lanka, Dashan Hamantha took two wickets, while Dashan Shanaka and Welalaghe got one wicket each.

‎Earlier, Sri Lanka, batting first, scored 178 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated overs. Patham Nissanka’s innings of 62 runs could not bring the team victory, while Pawan Ratnayake scored 44 runs.

‎For Zimbabwe, Mazrabani, Brad Evans and Kramer took two wickets each.
