The scheduled match between Pakistan and New Zealand in the Super Eight stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is facing concerns due to potential rain. The two teams are set to compete at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday, but the unpredictable weather has cricket fans apprehensive.

This match is considered crucial in the Super Eight stage, as every point earned can significantly impact the race for a spot in the semi-finals. Given the recent rain-affected matches in Sri Lanka, there is a worry that rain may also interfere with this game.

According to the weather website AccuWeather, there is a 74% chance of rain in Colombo on the day of the match, along with predictions of strong winds that could disrupt play.

Under ICC regulations, there is no reserve day for matches in the Super Eight stage. If both teams are unable to complete at least five overs due to rain, the match will be cancelled, and both teams will receive one point each.
