SWAT: The ongoing dispute between Provincial Minister Fazal Hakeem Khan and the royal family in Swat has intensified. The royal family once again locked the main gate, prompting the provincial minister’s nephew to break the locks and take the children home from school.

A jirga was held to mediate the issue, but the matter remains unresolved as the royal family has not paid the agreed-upon amount. Fazal Hakeem Khan maintains possession of the house until payment is received.

Salman Yousafzai, the son of Provincial Minister Fazal Hakeem Khan Yousafzai, expressed his concerns to the media, stating that the issue regarding their bungalow remains unresolved. He explained that Begum Sahib had obstructed their access by locking the main gate, forcing his cousin to take action. He shared that the jirga had reached a decision about their house, but they were not paid on time, leading them to issue notices to the jirga members as per the law.

Salman noted that when their children returned from school yesterday, Begum Sahib had locked the main gate, leaving the children standing outside. His cousin then broke the lock to bring the children inside. He added that Begum Sahib had also called goons during this incident, but they preferred to avoid conflict. He emphasised that the jirga’s decision was not implemented, and had it been executed willingly, the problem could have been resolved.
