Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Asad Qaiser, has said that no conditions have been set for talks and the only agenda for talks is the supremacy of law and restoration of the 1973 constitution.
Former Speaker National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, has said that there should be good relations with all countries of the world, and the impression that PTI does not want to hold talks is completely wrong. Asad Qaiser says that there is no timeline for talks, and the government’s response will be awaited. He stressed the importance of free and transparent elections in the country and said that if this is not possible, the country cannot move forward.
He added that our position is to ensure democracy, supremacy of the constitution, and the rule of law. Asad Qaiser stressed the need to restore the 1973 constitution in its original form and recognize the right of the people to vote. Asad Qaiser said that the Pakistan Constitution Protection Movement will observe Black Day on February 8, and the people have to decide whether they will elect their representatives in the elections or the people sitting in offices will do it.
It should be noted that the leader of the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Ayeen Pakistan, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, while denying the news circulating in the media, has said that the opposition has not set any conditions for talks with the government. He said that discussing the supremacy of parliament and the rule of law is the main agenda of the opposition, and that the allies have been consulted on the Prime Minister’s offer of talks.
He added that in light of the current political and economic crisis in the country, the doors should not be closed in democracy.
