The first day of Rajab al-Murajjab in the year 1447 Hijri is expected to be on 22 December 2025, according to predictions from SUPARCO.
As per their astronomical calculations, the new moon for Rajab al-Murajjab is born on 20 December 2025 at 6:43 AM. By sunset on 21 December, the moon will be approximately 35 hours and 26 minutes old.
In coastal areas, the time between sunset and moonset is projected to be about 63 minutes, which provides a good opportunity for the moon to be sighted with the human eye on the evening of 21 December.
Based on these calculations, 22 December 2025 is expected to mark the beginning of Rajab al-Murajjab. However, the final confirmation will come from the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, which will rely on moon sighting reports from across the country.
