In view of complaints about gas shortages and low pressure, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has decided to suspend gas supply to industrial consumers and CNG stations for 48 hours to provide relief to domestic users.
As reported by City 42, according to SSGC, gas supply to industries and CNG stations will remain suspended from 8 am on January 17 to 8 am on Monday. The decision was taken in light of increased domestic demand and low gas pressure during the cold season.
An SSGC spokesperson said extraordinary pressure on the gas system due to cold weather has prompted the company to prioritise domestic consumers to ensure better gas pressure for cooking and other household needs.
The company has appealed to industrial consumers and CNG stations to cooperate and assured that gas supply will be restored after the specified period.
