KARAK: Students of the government degree college Takhti-e-Nasrati staged a protest demonstration outside the residence of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MNA Shahid Khatak on Tuesday, against the alleged transfer of their college principal.

The students gathered outside the MNA’s residence, demanding the withdrawal of Principal Imadullah’s transfer order.

The protesting students alleged that the Chief Minister’s security official, Arif Khattak, misused his powers based on personal grudges and transferred the principal.

According to the students, Arif Khattak put pressure on the principal for his personal interests, but when he refused, he was subjected to retaliation and expelled from the district.

The students termed this move as the worst example of blatant injustice, misuse of powers and political interference in educational institutions.

The protesting students said that if this cruel decision taken against Principal Imdadullah is not withdrawn immediately, the scope of the protest will be further expanded, for which the entire responsibility will fall on the provincial government and the relevant political leadership.

The students made it clear that they will not remain silent about this injustice done to their principal and will raise this issue at every forum.
