PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast cold and dry weather across most parts of the country in the coming days, with severe chill expected during the mornings and evenings in northern and mountainous regions.
According to the PMD, temperatures are likely to drop further in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and northern districts of Balochistan, where nights are expected to be particularly cold.
The department has also warned of fog and smog in the plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially in Islamabad and surrounding areas, with conditions expected to intensify in the days ahead.
According to Met office fog has been forecast for Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, and Dera Ismail Khan during early morning hours.
Meanwhile, southern Punjab, Sindh, and central Balochistan are expected to experience dry weather, though a noticeable increase in cold is anticipated during the night and early morning.
