KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Tuesday announced that all banks will remain closed on January 1st for consumers. However, the banks will remain open for internal matters.
According to a statement issued by the SBP, all banks, development finance institutions and microfinance banks will remain closed for public transactions on January 1. The announcement further states that employees of banks, development finance institutions and microfinance banks will attend the office as usual.

State Bank of Pakistan announces multiple job openings in various departments.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced multiple job openings for qualified professionals across several departments. Applications are now open for various positions in the museum, art gallery, and archive department, including Assistant Curator, Digital Museum Officer, Museum Manager, and Research and Education Officer at the OG-2 level.
In the IT program and project management department, the Bank is seeking candidates for contractual positions, including Senior Oracle Applications Developer, Senior Temenos Developer, Senior Oracle Database Administrator, Database Administrator, Software Quality Assurance Analyst, Senior AI Engineer, and Senior Cloud Architect.
Additionally, SBP has invited applications for the roles of legal officer (OG-2) and law officer (OG-3) in its legal services department. Openings are also available for an IT support officer, a network operations centre (NOC) engineer, an IT security and compliance officer, and a system administrator.
