Despite the tense situation in the region, foreign airlines’ confidence in Pakistan’s aviation sector has started to grow, and another international airline has announced it will start flight operations to Pakistan.
Sri Lankan airline Fitz Air has decided to start flights to Pakistan from April 1. In the initial phase, the airline will operate two weekly flights between Colombo and Lahore.
According to officials, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has given formal permission to Fitz Air to operate flights in Pakistan, while landing slots have also been allotted by the Pakistan Airports Authority at Lahore Airport.
The airline will operate flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays and will use Airbus A320 aircraft for this.
According to experts, the arrival of the new airline will not only provide more facilities to passengers but will also create new employment opportunities in the country, which is a positive development for the aviation sector.
