PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has removed obstacles in the disbursement of the Rs 12,500 Ramazan relief package ensuring that the funds reach eligible beneficiaries without delay.
Following directives from the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Social Welfare Department has established special redressal committees to resolve issues faced by beneficiaries during the payment process.
Individuals encountering difficulties have been advised to immediately approach their Assistant Commissioner’s office for assistance.
Problems such as incorrect ID numbers or mobile numbers will be verified by the AC office and forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner for correction.
Elderly or disabled individuals whose fingerprints do not match can obtain certificates from NADRA, including Family Registration Certificates (FRC), to facilitate the transfer of funds to close relatives.
In cases where a selected beneficiary has passed away, payments will be made to eligible family members upon submission of a death certificate and application.
The government also clarified that payments cannot be made to blocked CNICs, and any such funds will be returned to the Director of Social Welfare.
The Chief Minister has directed the administration to ensure that complaints are addressed promptly during the holy month of Ramazan, allowing eligible individuals to receive relief without unnecessary delays.
