South Africa defeats Pakistan by 8 wickets in the second One-Day International match after a one-sided match.
Today’s match was played at Faisalabad cricket stadium, where national cricket team captain Shaheen Shah Afridi won the toss and decided to bat first.
The target of 270 runs set by Pakistan was achieved by the visiting team in just 40.1 overs for the loss of two wickets.
South African opener Quinton de Kock scored a brilliant unbeaten 123 runs off 119 balls, which included 8 fours and 7 sixes.
Earlier, Pakistan, batting first, scored 269 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.
Salman Ali Agha scored 69, Saim Ayub 53 and Muhammad Nawaz 59 for the national team.
Faheem Ashraf played a fast-paced innings of 28 runs in the closing overs, which included two sixes and two fours.
The South African bowling line showed a brilliant performance. Nandre Burger took 4 wickets, Naqbayo Muzi Peter took 3 wickets and Corbin Bush took 2 wickets.
It should be noted that Pakistan had defeated South Africa by two wickets in the first match of the three-match ODI series.
In the match played at the Faisalabad Cricket Stadium, Pakistan achieved the target of 264 runs set by South Africa in 49.4 overs for the loss of eight wickets.
In Pakistan’s innings, Salman Agha scored 62 runs, Mohammad Rizwan scored 55 and Fakhar Zaman returned to the pavilion after scoring 45 runs, while Saim Ayub contributed 39 runs.
Babar Azam could only score 7 runs and Hussain Talat lost his wicket after scoring 22 runs. Hassan Nawaz was out for one run.
