South Africa Women secured a comprehensive six-wicket victory over Pakistan Women in the second match of the Women’s T20 series, sealing an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match contest.

The match was reduced to 14 overs per side due to rain, prompting both teams to adopt an aggressive approach.

Batting first, Pakistan Women posted 100 for 9 in their allotted 14 overs. Middle-order batter Aliya Riaz top-scored with 20 runs, while Ayesha Zafar contributed 13.

However, regular fall of wickets prevented the hosts from building substantial partnerships and posting a more competitive total.

In reply, South Africa Women chased down the 101-run target with composure, reaching 104 for 4 with four deliveries to spare.

The Proteas batters displayed responsible shot selection and maintained control of the run chase to secure the win.

With this result, South Africa have taken an unbeaten 2-0 lead in the three-match series, ending Pakistan’s hopes of a comeback.
